The Historic Fayetteville Downtown Square is the heart of our community and the centerpiece of the Slawburger Festival. During the festival, additional vendors line the interior of the square from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, creating a full day of shopping, dining, and entertainment.

The Slawburger originated right here in downtown Fayetteville in the 1920s at Honey’s Restaurant, which still proudly serves this iconic Southern classic today. The Famous Slawburger features a sweet and tangy mustard-based slaw atop an all-beef patty — a flavor that has become a regional tradition and a point of hometown pride.

Since 2015, the Slawburger Festival has celebrated this culinary legacy while bringing families and visitors together to share stories, make new memories, and relive cherished traditions.
